Sigh if your going to use a racial slurr please use the right one. Pandas are chinese.
Ahh it's this thread again, as to say in WoW there is a panda mini pet, one that you can put back in its cage and let it come back out.

OMG WHERE IS MY PANDA?
In the Guildwars Factions Manual there was a picture of a panda. This gave me so much hope that there will be one... I dindt even see that panda anywhere in the game... (not even as monsters!!!)

There's also a law in every country on the planet that I know of that forbids the killing of another human being.
Yet millions are slaughtered in Guild Wars every day.
I doubt some obscure Chinese law is the reason for the absence of Panda pets.

So, Tekken 3 features a panda as a playable and killable character? Chinese people can't play it then?

frankly i see this as a pointles excesize. As stated above its a law in china stating no panda can be killed in video games. As for having a panda pet, why would anyone want a pet that is broken? (bears are slow and crap). And as for people insulting the chinese for this law remember this, china is the fastest growing consumer market in the world , were Anet to place a panda pet and fall fowl of this law almost certainly Anet would loose a massive market as it would be boycotted and possibly banned from china . Any suggestions that this is a pointles law is to ignore other culture's way of life. We may not understand it or even agree with it but its still a law and Anet MUST stay within the country of sale's legal parameters.

Please close this thread. - OP
There are too many stupid people for this thread to be meaningful. I apologize for thinking otherwise. Too many people read the subject and post "White Tigers are tamable, Pandas aren't" when that wasn't even the point of the thread. It was a philosophical discussion about whether we should look at other sensitive issues being effective ALONG with the panda issue. Philosophical discussions + gamers = I'm an idiot for trying... I imagine most of the people here didn't even bother clicking on the link, either.

Thanks for ignoring the original question that started the thread, concerning how far sensitivity will go in a game (relating to the provided link). We appreciate it. We really do. I'll have your sign in the mail by tomorrow :-)
